CHICAGO _ If the rest of the White Sox can hold up their end of the bargain, Jose Contreras will be a worthy Game 1 starter in the event they reach the postseason.
Contreras elevated his impressive second-half performance Friday night in what manager Ozzie Guillen called one of the biggest games of the year when he pitched a 3-1 complete-game victory over Minnesota.
