James "Jimma" Pomponi of Beverly Farms, formerly of Watertown, a social worker, died Monday at Beverly Hospital. He was 50.
Born in Waltham, he was raised in Watertown and had lived there before moving to Beverly Farms. He graduated from Watertown High School in 1973. He earned a bachelor's degree in psychology from the University of New Hampshire in 1977, and a master's in social work from Simmons College. He played soccer while at Watertown High School and UNH.
Mr. Pomponi worked at McLean Hospital and Massachusetts General Hospital. For the past ...
