Centennial 'Gift to the City'
SAN FRANCISCO, Sept. 25 /PRNewswire/ -- In honor of its 100th anniversary of caring for San Francisco, Saint Francis Memorial Hospital today announced a total of $500,000 in grants to six organizations that serve the San Francisco community.
The half-million-dollar "Gift to the City" contributions were awarded to the Glide Health Clinic; St. Anthony's Free Medical Clinic; South of Market Health Center; Curry Senior Center; Bay Area Women's and Children's Center; and Friends of the Urban Forest.
The gifts were announced at a 100th anniversary gala celebration attended by more than 900 guests.
