Pound Ridge is 23 square miles of rugged woodland, with a rich cultural history of farming and artisanship that dates back to its colonization. The town's historic district, known as the hamlet, contains museums and a library to preserve this history. Today, much of Pound Ridge remains as it has always been, with wild, natural landscapes and winding country roads. This is exemplified by the Ward Pound Ridge Reservation, Westchester's largest park, which covers more than 4,700 acres.
