A coalition of states is continuing its fight against the federal government's decision not to regulate greenhouse gas emissions--blamed for climate change--despite its recent setback in a court fight.

The coalition, which also includes the District of Columbia, is asking the full bench of the US Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit to review a case involving the Environmental Protection Agency's refusal to take regulatory action to address global warming. The filing, known as a "petition for rehearing en banc," asks the full court to reverse a ruling that a three-judge panel of the court issued in July.
