CHICAGO _ Nomar Garciaparra did the unthinkable a year ago at Wrigley Field.
After discussing his uncertain future before the final Cubs game of the season, Garciaparra thanked the Chicago media for its "professionalism."
As it turned out, Garciaparra wound up coming back, getting injured, rehabbing for three months and returning in time for the Cubs to fall out of the wild-card race. Now he's back at square one, wondering whether the Cubs will bring him back in 2006.
