GREENSBORO, N.C., Sept. 27 /PRNewswire/ -- The Fresh Market, a North Carolina-based specialty foods grocer, announced today that in the weeks following the disastrous Hurricane Katrina, its customers generously donated more than $229,000 to the company's relief program. After pledging an additional $50,000, The Fresh Market donated more than a quarter of a million dollars to the American Red Cross Hurricane Katrina Fund.
