As he stood in a corner of the Vikings locker room Sunday, a wide grin filling his face, Zygi Wilf clutched a football tightly to his chest. The Vikings owner had waited three weeks for his first game ball, a delay that at times seemed indefinite for even the most patient of men, and he held the pigskin in a death grip. "It's the first of many," Wilf said after the Vikings reversed two enigmatic weeks with an uneven but ultimately satisfying 33-16 victory over New Orleans. Wilf's first triumph also proved a lesson in the volatile nature of the club he paid $600 million to join: One week's crisis is another week's celebration.
