Royal Dutch/Shell outlined plans Tuesday for expanding its operations and reversing declining production in the mature West African oil province of Gabon. Frankie Ntombe-Tsibah, deputy technical director of Shell Gabon, told an African upstream conference in London that the company was looking to bring a "second life" to Gabon as an oil producer. "The country has gone through a tough period recently but we are committed to looking to convert more value opportunities into production," he stated.
