The American Video Duplication Association (AVDA), Minneapolis, MN, was formed late last year to serve the needs of video duplicators and loaders and to provide a forum for the discussion of technical issues and current and future challenges facing those involved in the non-theatrical video duplication business.

According to William Schubart, of Resolution Video Production and Duplication and current AVDA chair, "there was no coherent association for video duplicators." He estimated that between 50% and 60% of the corporate duplication market, both unlicensed and JVC licensed, have obtained membership, and he welcomed applications from any interested duplicators. ...
