Article: Journal journeys.(writing tips)

Don't let the twin monsters of writer's block and procrastination keep you from writing in your journal. Keep this sheet of paper handy, and turn to it the next time you don't know what to write. Then watch writing become as easy as 1, 2, 3.

(1) Close your eyes and let your finger land on one of the general writing prompts that follow.

(2) Write the prompt at the top of a fresh page in your journal.

(3) START WRITING! Keep your pen moving, and don't stop to think about which words to use. Write for 10 minutes--the stories inside you will spill onto the page!
