This book is in two parts. The first 26 pages relate the development of the site of Federation Square from the first settlement of Melbourne in 1835 to the decision in 1996 to build Federation Square. These were written by Dr. Brown-May, of the University of Melbourne's History Department. The remaining 84 pages discussing Federation Square are by Dr. Norman Day, an architectural critic of Melbourne's leading newspaper "The Age" and of the ABC, and an Adjunct Professor of the Architecture ...
