That David Stone is a golf course superintendent in the San Joaquin Valley seems as natural as adobe sunbursts. That he took over at San Joaquin Country Club for his father, Owen, a highly regarded superintendent in his own right, might have been as expected as the sunset. And that his son, Paul, is his assistant today, well, what did you expect? Did I mention David's grandfather Cleve was a superintendent in the Valley?
