This year, the American Council on Physical Fitness and Nutrition (ACFN) has launched the TRIUMPH tour, a.k.a. Trends, Resources and Inspiration for Understanding and Maintaining Physical Health. Visiting major cities nationwide, each discussion features panelists who arrive at solutions and establish programs to help curb our national health problems.
In June, TRIUMPH visited Baltimore, where four programs were created. "JumpSmart" will encourage at-risk children at HUD housing complexes to learn jump-rope routines from volunteers and nutrition information.
