AirTran Airways and the International Brotherhood of Teamsters Announce Successful Ratification of Collective Bargaining Agreement.

ORLANDO, Fla., Sept. 30 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- AirTran Airways, a subsidiary of AirTran Holdings, Inc. , and the International Brotherhood of Teamsters, Local 528 ("IBT"), today announced the successful ratification of a new 48-month collective bargaining agreement covering AirTran Airways' aircraft mechanics and aircraft inspectors. The agreement, reached over the Labor Day weekend, becomes effective October 1, 2005, which is the amendable date of the current agreement. It was reached in 14 bargaining sessions conducted over a 30-day period in August. More than 70 percent of the IBT members voted in favor of the contract.
