Weather seldom stops Dave Wood from going fishing, and when the autumn breezes kick up, there's no place he'd rather drop his line than Keuka Lake.
"I fish Keuka for smallmouth bass and yellow perch from now until January or until I can't get on it because of ice," said the Watkins Glen resident. "For as long as I can find a boat launch open I'll be on the water."
Keuka - the 183-foot-deep, 11,584-acre Finger Lake that's shaped like a capital "Y" or a tuning fork - has a longstanding reputation for excellent fall fishing.
