Dear Interview,
I have always enjoyed Joni Mitchell's music and will continue to do so. I admire her willingness to emerge from the safe confines of what has worked so well for her commercially and branch out into blues, jazz, etc. Her artwork on her own and others' albums is a joy. So I looked forward to reading the interview with her in your August issue and was disappointed to find her so ... ordinary. Being 52, a farmer's wife, and a Christian woman, I do not fall into your demographic. However, I enjoy reading your open-ended interviews with various personalities.
