When the Rev. James Korpik talks about his church's reaction to the United Church of Christ General Synod's historic endorsement of same-sex marriage, he finds it hard to speak.
"Obviously, it's painful, because there are some people on both sides," said the pastor of St. Paul's United Church of Christ in Alexandria.
He doesn't even like to read about the issue in the newspaper.
"It will reopen the wound," he said. "To me, it's like putting in an obituary every month saying that my mother died."
