Oct. 4--A Jacksonville business is selling $6 million worth of recreation vehicles to federal officials to temporarily house victims of hurricanes Katrina and Rita.
Dick Gore's RV World said Monday they were caught unaware last year when the Federal Emergency Management Agency requested vehicles for hurricane victims and sold only 12 because they had a limited supply.
This year, the business anticipated the need by ordering an additional 150 travel trailers, outfitted with bathrooms, showers and basic kitchens, when the storms were forecast to hit the Gulf Coast.
