Article: New Delhi, Oct 3 (PTI) Eyeing India's vast market potential for ORG domains, US-based firm Public Interest Registry (PIR) today asked local non-commercial organisations including NGOs to acquire ORG domain name for international exposure and receive funds.

"There are around two million such organisations in India, which is the highest number in the world. However, only 33,000 out of it have acquired the ORG domain, which is the internet home of non-commercial organisations," said Edward Viltz, CEO of PIR, itself a non-commercial firm, which manages data base of the ORG internet addresses.
