WHITE PLAINS, N.Y., Oct. 4 /PRNewswire/ -- Women who participate in the Nike Women's Marathon in San Francisco on October 23rd are racing towards an even greater finish line. The Nike Women's Marathon is a major fundraiser for The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, the largest voluntary health organization dedicated to funding blood cancer research, education and patient services. The research grant named for the Nike Women's Marathon is being awarded to Dr. Cheryl Willman for pediatric research at the University of New Mexico.
