If good pitching is supposed to beat good hitting, then the White Sox are looking at a visit to the ALCS because their pitching staff is just about the best there is. A balanced rotation and an effective bullpen should, on paper, prevail against the Red Sox' vaunted offense. The remaining question: Can the White Sox offense score enough on the Red Sox pitching staff? It can happen.
