CLEVELAND - So much of baseball's postseason will be played in the head.
The White Sox are better than the Red Sox, whom they open a best-of-five playoff series against Tuesday.
Seriously, the White Sox are better on paper and should be better on the field. The question will be whether they're better in their minds.
Maybe you've heard that Boston is the defending World Series champion. How could you not? ESPN has blared it for nearly a year now.
The Red Sox and the Yankees, separately and against each other, are what baseball is all about. At least that's if you believe the national media.
