SEOUL, Oct. 4 (Yonhap) -- Sales by South Korea's five major auto companies showed a lackluster performance in September, hindered by low production and weak domestic sales of the nation's top two major carmakers, the companies said Tuesday. Hyundai Motor Co., Kia Motors Corp. and three other carmakerssaw their combined sales decline 1.1 percent from a year earlier to 382,221 units in September. During the reported month, domestic sales declined 9.4 percent year-on-year to 82,303 units, while exports rose 4.5 percent from a year ago to 299,918 units.
