After rehabilitating knee, Jordan ready to face Pettitte, Astros.

ATLANTA _ While the Houston Astros send the No. 2 winner in postseason history to the mound on Wednesday afternoon in Andy Pettitte, the Atlanta Braves will counter with a veteran outfielder who was playing in Class A, a couple of months ago.

Former Cardinals star Brian Jordan largely has been invisible for the Braves the second half of the season after the 38-year-old encountered more trouble with a balky knee. The discomfort caused him to go on the disabled list for the 12th time in 14 major league seasons. And while rehabilitating, he even drove up the road to Rome, Ga., to play in five minor league games in early August for the Braves' Class A ...
