Norwalk--'emerging economic' engine for county.(Doing business in Norwalk)

During the past year, three large corporations have moved into Norwalk, a trend business leaders and local officials attribute to the city's central location in Fairfield County and low cost of office space.

"Norwalk has become an emerging economic engine for Fairfield County and is becoming the preferred location for major corporations that are relocating," said Norwalk Mayor Alex A. Knopp.

The recent addition to Norwalk's business scene include Diageo plc, which moved its North American headquarters from Stamford, and FactSet Research Systems, which relocated from Greenwich, and GE Capital, which came from Stamford, too.
