Heim Data Systems, Inc has introduced record media contained in removable cartridges for D Series airborne recorders. The media cartridges provide enhanced flexibility to choose the most appropriate media for any given mission with due regard to environment, data capacity, data rate and budget requirements. Cartridges are available with hard disk drives (up to 256 GB capacity), solid state drives (up to 144 GB capacity) and tape drives (AIT-2 and AIT-3). A cartridge with a PC Flash Memory Card slot is also available. Each cartridge is comprised of a rugged housing with extraction handles, security pins or latches to lock the cartridge in the host recorder, and a SCSI interface ...
