YONKERS, N.Y., Oct. 5 (AScribe Newswire) -- Consumers rank features such as CD players, cruise control, and power outside mirrors as being more important to have on their next new vehicle than safety systems such as electronic stability control (ESC) or curtain airbags, according to a new web survey conducted by Consumer Reports.

Nine of the top 10 features in the survey are comfort and convenience, and entertainment items. Antilock braking systems (ABS) are the only safety feature to make the top 10 with 63 percent of respondents considering it very important.
