Oct. 4--As the saying goes, they're not making any more of it.
And with zoning ordinances being as they are, several locals and city businesses are petitioning Jacksonville to reconsider the zoning classification of their particular parcels.
During its first of two October meetings, which is being held at 7 tonight in courtroom 1 of the Summersill Building on Old Bridge Street, the City Council will consider four separate rezoning requests and site plans.
City staff has recommended that the council approve rezoning requests from Progress Energy for a site on Gum Branch Road and Courts Plus for its location on Marine Boulevard. In ...
