Negri Bossi SpA in Milan, Italy, is finishing construction of an injection press with 6,600 tons of clamping force - the company's largest machine ever.

The company expects to deliver the machine this fall to Jcoplastic SpA, which makes large garbage containers and garden furniture in Battipaglia, Italy.

The giant press will turn out wheeled, 625-gallon-sized containers, according to Liam Burns, general manager of Negri Bossi USA Inc., the machinery maker's U.S. operation in Newark, Del.

The Bi-Power press, which has two injection units, has a 225-pound shot capacity. Burns said the injection units are side by side, ...
