The park that will be built as part of the future Jeffers Pond Elementary School will be alcohol- and tobacco-free. The Prior Lake City Council's decision required a modification of the city code and is consistent with the terms of an agreement between the Prior Lake-Savage school district and the city regarding park maintenance and use. The council also approved trail improvement plans in the Jeffers South development. Developer Wensmann Homes will pay $66,000 for materials; city staff will install a boardwalk and extend trails.
