Oct. 7--After years of building up a national reputation and months of construction in Durham, The Cheesecake Factory will open its doors at The Streets at Southpoint on Monday.
The popular restaurant, which offers a huge menu and more than 30 kinds of cheesecake, will make Durham and the upscale mall even more of a destination, city and Southpoint officials said Thursday in a lighthearted ceremony outside the restaurant's new brick and slate faade.
