MARLBOROUGH, Mass. -- North East Waste Services, Inc. announced today that the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection has issued a permit modification allowing the Company to increase the average daily volume of waste it can accept at its Sandy Run Landfill, located in Bedford County, Pennsylvania, from 300 tons per day to 750 tons per day and increasing the maximum daily volume from 400 tons per day to 1,000 tons per day. These increased tonnage limits will become effective upon completion of certain improvements as specified by the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation.
