When folks hype this area as a great place to live, more often than not, they mention the Finger Lakes wine region.
With 15 wineries on nearby Cayuga Lake, 28 on Seneca Lake and nine on Keuka Lake, the three wine trails see thousands of visitors every year.
Those who usher these tasting troupes through the buildings, barns and barrels of the wineries, say their visitors come in all shapes, sizes, ages and interests.
Winery staff say they just want to educate people about wine, which like their customers, also comes in all shapes and sizes. But if you've never been, where do you begin?
