BOSTON _ Maybe Ozzie Guillen really will walk away three weeks from now. As Scott Podsednik says, who knows?
This much is sure: Guillen never will be hotter than he is right now, this minute, this October. The fiery little shortstop who couldn't get the White Sox to the World Series during 13 roller-coaster seasons is four victories away from becoming the first manager since Al Lopez to take the South Side team_or any Chicago team for that matter_to the major leagues' Promised Land.
He's not exactly riding anyone's coattails, either.
