CHICAGO _ The Chicago White Sox's winningest pitcher will have to wait awhile before he makes his playoff debut.
Jon Garland, who won a career-high 18 games, will be pushed back to Game 3 of the American League Championship Series. The team adjusted its rotation Sunday but kept its 25-man roster intact for the second round of the playoffs.
Garland now will have 12 days' rest when he starts the third game on Friday.
Jose Contreras, who emerged as the ace of the staff in recording an 11-2 second-half record and beating Boston in Game 1 of the division series, will pitch Tuesday night's ALCS opener at U.S. Cellular ...
