TATTERSALLS cut the numbers, changed the format and brought in new buyers, and the result was a rebound in fortunes for its October Yearling Sale, part 1. The auction house struggled last year after incorporating the elite Houghton Sale into the former October Sale, which resulted in an overflow of horses and a confused group of buyers.
