"We sub out tire repair," says Ed Jongsma, fleet supervisor for Ozinga Bros. Inc., Mokena, Ill., which runs 180 ready-mix trucks from eight plants in south suburban Chicago. "We changed from doing it ourselves about four years ago. We promoted the tire-care person, and we changed to an outside vendor."
