Slightly more than half of Northrop Grumman [NOC] and European Aeronautic Co.'s proposed Air Force tanker would be manufactured in United States, according to company executives.
"We expect to be able to grow that [amount of work]," said Martin Dandridge, Northrop Grumman sector executive vice president, at a press briefing yesterday. He said initially about 52 percent of the proposed aircraft would be built at U.S. facilities, but that number could increase to over 60 in the future. About 30 percent of the overseas work would be done at facilities in the United Kingdom, Germany and Spain, he added.
