Recovery Schools have become so popular in recent years that some administrators of those schools do not bother to advertise.
That is because word of mouth keeps those school populations at capacity with high school students who have completed drug and alcohol treatment and are looking for fresh starts in supportive environments.
"We did a brochure about seven years ago," Brad Kraushaar, who heads Arona School in Coon Rapids, Minn., told DDR. "We don't give it out because it seems disrespectful to say 'Here's what we do. By the way, you can't get in.'"
