TOKYO, Oct 12 Asia Pulse - Banyu Pharmaceutical Co. (TSE:4515) has obtained government approval to import the prescription hair loss medication Propecia and expects to begin sales as early as the second half of November.
Developed by Banyu's parent Merck & Co., Propecia is an oral medicine that has proven effective in treating male pattern baldness on the top and middle front of the head. Merck is already selling Propecia in more than 60 countries.
