NEW YORK -- Reports of Rose Marie Bravo's impending departure as CEO of Burberry Group PLC last week may have taken the industry off guard, but the woman who helped transform a dormant men's outerwear brand into a vibrant and profitable luxury label will undoubtedly leave the company in fine shape for the future.
"She's certainly set the direction for the business going forward. I think it will be fine," said Thomas O'Neill, who worked with Bravo at Burberry as president of the brand before leaving in 2004 to become CEO of Harry Winston.
