Fuzzy, the one horse to survive Tuesday's barn fire in Kaneville Township, has begun standing up and showing other signs of recovery.
Horse owners similarly began to heal Sunday, when more than 100 people crowded under a tent at Epona Farm, 1N806 Francis Road, for a service to remember the 33 horses who died when a swift blaze burned down the barn that housed their stable.
"We were brought together by our love of horses and, sadly, we will now share a bond of tragedy," Carol Berry, who owned a horse named Iggy, told others.
People cried, read poems, looked at pictures of the horses, and placed flowers around stark ...
