Scotland being the home of golf, you'd expect Scottish bankers to be a bit mad about the game. But this is remarkable: Royal Bank of Scotland has issued a commemorative [pounds sterling]5 note to mark Jack Nicklaus' final appearance at The Open at St Andrews this summer.
It's the first time a living person other than the Queen or the late Queen Mother has appeared on a Scottish banknote.
This special issue shows Nicklaus holding the famous claret jug trophy in 1978 as well as his 'Golden Bear' logo. The serial numbers even begin with 'JWN', his initials. Flash cash, ...
