Canada's National History Society is pleased to announce Will Ferguson as the winner of the 2005 Pierre Berton Award for popularizing Canadian history. Now in its 11th year, the Berton Award has become the biggest history prize in Canada. This year's award events will be held for the first time in Alberta and we hope to have strong participation from our local readership. (See announcements on page 60.)
