Nokia and China Putian to set up 3G JV in Wuhan
Shanghai. October 13. INTERFAX-CHINA - Nokia and China Putian, a state- owned telecom equipment manufacturer, signed an agreement to form a joint venture (JV) to develop 3G networks located in Wuhan, the capital of China's Hubei Province, Chen Yuhong, PR manager for Nokia China told Interfax.
"The JV shows Nokia's commitment in the development of TD-SCDMA technologies," Chen said. "Nokia has strong competence in WCDMA, and China Putian is a major developer of the TD-SCDMA standard."
