THREE aid organisations based in Walsall have joined forces to launch an appeal for victims of the earthquake which has devastated Kashmir and Pakistan.
The Union of Moslem Organisations, Kashmir Aid (UK) and the Midland International Trust have banded together to set up the Pakistan-Kashmir Earthquake Relief Fund.
The three groups have, since 1991, sent relief missions to Bosnia, Kosovo, Afghanistan, and helped displaced refugees in Kashmir, victims of religious riots in Gujarat, India, flood victims in Bangladesh, and tsunami-ravaged Indonesia. Members will fly out to Pakistan at their own expense later ...
