Just the buisiness: Piping up for a new branch.(Features)

THE distinctive sound of bagpipes bellowed across Birmingham's New Street as the Royal Bank of Scotland celebrated the formal opening of a new branch.

The ribbon was cut by Benny Higgins, Chief Executive, Retail Banking, who was joined by the branch's first customer, 34 year-old Lorraine Goodman.

Lorraine, who lives in Solihull and works in the Bullring, was invited to join in with the celebrations and presented with a clock to commemorate her involvement in the occasion.

Sonya Rose, Branch Manager, said: "I am very excited to be part of this brand new branch, which is in a superb central location.
