A CITY cricket club has been hit for six after falling out with its tennis playing neighbours.
The rival summer sports played happily side by side at their Sutton Coldfield ground off Tamworth Road for more than 15 years, but are now locked in a fierce battle for survival.
Sutton United Tennis Club hit the first volley when it served notice of plans to build two floodlit all-weather courts on the cricket pitch.
But the Prince of Wales Cricket Club smacked their plans to the boundary and enlisted local residents to back a petition against the expansion plans.
