Like many Madison residents, Keith Blew came here to attend the University of Wisconsin and ended up making the city his home. He began his career in Madison restaurants as a student waiting tables at the now-departed (and much-missed) Fess Hotel and tending bar at the Barber's Closet.
Blew continued his restaurant instruction in the San Francisco area, where he learned the ways of the kitchen. Like so many before him, he returned to our Mecca of the Midwest and eventually opened his own restaurant along with partner Susan Breitbach, whom he met while working at the Barber's Closet.
